Son las 5:45 de la ma\u00f1ana, me encuentro en la ruta 25 del autob\u00fas que se dirige hacia la universidad. Voy a mi clase de Dise\u00f1o y Producto IV. Hasta el momento, ha sido un trayecto normal, el bus va lleno, como siempre sucede a esta hora.<\/p>\n

Las caras de los usuarios del sistema de transporte reflejan el cansancio de la madrugada t\u00edpica del trabajador colombiano: personas que quisieran, al menos, levantarse cuando el sol ya est\u00e9 en el horizonte y no antes, que caminan en la oscuridad hacia paradas repletas de individuos luchando por no quedarse dormidos y deseando tener la suficiente fuerza para mantenerse de pie durante todo el trayecto.<\/p>\n

Me sub\u00ed hace quince minutos con la certeza de ir de pie, como todos los d\u00edas; pero afortunadamente, pude encontrar un puesto que me dio una joven que se levant\u00f3 cinco minutos despu\u00e9s de que tomara el autob\u00fas. Fue un peque\u00f1o evento bastante afortunado para m\u00ed. El estar sentado a esta hora es como tener un privilegio para alguien digno de ser un rey\u2026 Bueno, un monarca humilde. Pero el tener un asiento en hora pico es un placer de oficinista; es como lo que sientes cuando te eligen de primero en un partido de f\u00fatbol de barrio.<\/p>\n

Y aqu\u00ed estaba yo, sentado, con la posibilidad de viajar c\u00f3modamente y poder ver el paisaje y el amanecer de la ciudad en la hora pico ma\u00f1anera.<\/p>\n

El autob\u00fas segu\u00eda su camino y pod\u00eda observar c\u00f3mo dentro de los autos se ve\u00edan caras de ni\u00f1os aprovechando el tr\u00e1fico para dormir m\u00e1s, personas solitarias cantando dentro de sus autos para vencer el sue\u00f1o y motivarse para afrontar las ocho horas diarias laborales, taxistas discutiendo sobre pol\u00edtica con sus pasajeros mientras escuchan las noticias m\u00e1s importantes del d\u00eda, etc\u2026<\/p>\n

El clima se resum\u00eda en un sol tenue que se lograba esconder a ratos por pasones de nubes que daban algo de sombra.<\/p>\n

A mi derecha, a trav\u00e9s de la ventana, pude observar una peque\u00f1a cancha donde unos ni\u00f1os, con el uniforme de Educaci\u00f3n F\u00edsica de alg\u00fan colegio p\u00fablico de la ciudad, se encontraban peleando. Dos de ellos intentaban separarlos, pero su rabia era tan grande, que se pod\u00eda sentir la tensi\u00f3n hasta en el bus en donde me encontraba.<\/p>\n

Cada uno empujaba al otro sin querer ceder a sus intereses particulares. En ese instante, me pregunt\u00e9 si no hab\u00eda en ese escenario ning\u00fan adulto cerca para separarlos, pero al parecer, nadie se encontraba en las proximidades de la zona del conflicto.<\/p>\n

En ese momento apareci\u00f3 una peque\u00f1a ni\u00f1a cargando una pelota entre sus manos.<\/p>\n

La ni\u00f1a se ubic\u00f3 en el medio y dijo algo mientras miraba fijamente a los dos involucrados en la pelea, lo cual, al parecer, result\u00f3 muy efectivo: pararon sus agresiones f\u00edsicas y comenzaron a dialogar en t\u00e9rminos mucho m\u00e1s civilizados y casi que amigables.<\/p>\n

La ni\u00f1a se\u00f1al\u00f3 un arco y los dos ni\u00f1os involucrados aceptaron la propuesta de ella.<\/p>\n

Llevando el bal\u00f3n en sus manos, la peque\u00f1a puso el mismo objeto en el punto de penal de la porter\u00eda de microf\u00fatbol que hab\u00eda frente al arco que daba hacia la concurrida calle. Uno de los ni\u00f1os dej\u00f3 su morral en el suelo, mientras que el otro camin\u00f3 hacia el arco y comenz\u00f3 a prepararse para lo que se intu\u00eda, ser\u00eda un cobro de tiro penal directo al arco.<\/p>\n

El ni\u00f1o que se encontraba frente al bal\u00f3n dio dos pasos hacia atr\u00e1s, mir\u00f3 fijamente al arco e inmediatamente corri\u00f3 para patear con una t\u00e9cnica bastante sencilla: fue un tiro con la punta de su tenis blanco de tela, bastante com\u00fan en los colegios colombianos. El otro ni\u00f1o, que se encontraba en el arco, se lanz\u00f3 hacia la esquina derecha superior y con un manotazo logr\u00f3 desviar el bal\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El peque\u00f1o arquero se levant\u00f3 emocionado, y se dirigi\u00f3 a la ubicaci\u00f3n del otro ni\u00f1o con una actitud de euforia que contrastaba con la cara de tristeza del que hab\u00eda pateado el bal\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Este \u00faltimo sac\u00f3 de su bolsillo una peque\u00f1a tarjeta dorada que luego le dar\u00eda en las manos al peque\u00f1o arquero. Luego de dicha entrega, se dieron la mano y mi autob\u00fas sigui\u00f3 su camino. Todo esto ocurri\u00f3 en m\u00e1ximo un minuto, mientras el autob\u00fas esperaba el cambio de luces del sem\u00e1foro de aquella calle.<\/p>\n

No pude dejar de pensar y sentir algo de envidia de esos ni\u00f1os: lo f\u00e1cil y r\u00e1pido que es detener una pelea y olvidar todo mediante una peque\u00f1a competencia.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Me imagin\u00e9 retando a mi profesor a disparar un penal. Quisiera decirle: \u201csi usted me hace gol, vengo a ayudarle a corregir parciales un d\u00eda festivo, si lo tapo, me sube la nota a 3.0\u201d. Pero bueno, el mundo adulto es m\u00e1s complicado y nuestros rencores no se olvidan con una emoci\u00f3n ef\u00edmera como un gol, as\u00ed que regres\u00e9 a mi vida adulta esperando que el pr\u00f3ximo sem\u00e1foro no se demorara tanto o que pasara algo igual de interesante que me d\u00e9 ideas para poder aprobar mi semestre, ya que debo entregar un informe antes de la hora del almuerzo y levantar en el tercer parcial dos notas negativas.<\/p>\n

Y bueno\u2026 No me queda m\u00e1s que esperar que alg\u00fan d\u00eda pueda repetir el tener asiento en el bus al comenzar una nueva jornada.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It’s 5:45 in the morning, and I’m on the Route 25 bus heading towards the university. I’m on my way to my Design and Product IV class. So far, it’s been a usual journey; the bus is crowded, as is typical at this hour.<\/p>

The faces of the public transportation users reflect the fatigue of the typical early morning for Colombian workers: people who would prefer, at least, to wake up when the sun is already on the horizon and not before, walking in darkness to stops filled with individuals struggling not to fall asleep and wishing to have enough strength to stand throughout the journey.<\/p>

I boarded fifteen minutes ago with the certainty of standing, as I do every day; but fortunately, I managed to find a seat given by a young woman who stood up five minutes after I boarded. It was a fortunate little event for me. Being seated at this hour is like having a privilege for someone worthy of being a king… Well, a humble monarch. But having a seat during rush hour is a pleasure for an office worker; it’s like the feeling you get when you’re picked first in a neighborhood soccer game.<\/p>

And here I was, seated, with the possibility of traveling comfortably and enjoying the scenery and the city sunrise during the morning rush hour.<\/p>

The bus continued its journey, and I could observe faces of children inside cars taking advantage of the traffic to sleep more, solitary individuals singing inside their cars to overcome sleep and motivate themselves for the eight-hour workday, taxi drivers discussing politics with their passengers while listening to the day’s most important news, and so on.<\/p>

The weather was summed up in a faint sun that occasionally hid behind passing clouds, providing some shade.<\/p>

To my right, through the window, I could see a small field where children, wearing the Physical Education uniform of some public school in the city, were fighting. Two of them tried to separate them, but their anger was so great that you could feel the tension even on the bus where I was.<\/p>

Each pushed the other, unwilling to give in to their particular interests. At that moment, I wondered if there was no adult nearby to intervene, but apparently, no one was in the vicinity of the conflict zone.<\/p>

Then a little girl appeared, carrying a ball in her hands.<\/p>

The girl positioned herself in the middle and said something while staring at the two involved in the fight, which, apparently, was very effective: they stopped their physical aggressions and started talking in much more civilized and almost friendly terms.<\/p>

The girl pointed to a goal, and the two children accepted her proposal.<\/p>

With the ball in her hands, the little one placed the object on the penalty spot of the small soccer goal in front of the busy street. One of the children left his backpack on the ground, while the other walked towards the goal and began preparing for what seemed to be a direct penalty kick.<\/p>

The boy in front of the ball took two steps back, stared fixedly at the goal, and immediately ran to kick with a quite simple technique: it was a shot with the tip of his white canvas tennis shoes, quite common in Colombian schools. The other boy, who was in the goal, threw himself towards the upper right corner and managed to deflect the ball with a swat.<\/p>

The little goalkeeper jumped up excitedly and headed towards the location of the other boy with an attitude of elation that contrasted with the sad face of the one who had kicked the ball.<\/p>

The latter pulled out a small golden card from his pocket, which he then handed to the little goalkeeper. After the exchange, they shook hands, and my bus continued its journey. All of this happened in less than a minute, while the bus waited for the traffic light to change on that street.<\/p>

I couldn’t help but think and feel a bit envious of those children: how easy and quick it is to stop a fight and forget everything through a small competition.<\/p>

I imagined challenging my professor to take a penalty shot. I would like to say, “If you score, I’ll come to help you correct exams on a holiday; if I save it, raise my grade to a 3.0.” But well, the adult world is more complicated, and our resentments are not forgotten with a fleeting emotion like a goal, so I returned to my adult life, hoping that the next traffic light wouldn’t take so long or that something equally interesting would happen to give me ideas to pass my semester, as I have to submit a report before lunchtime and improve two negative grades on the third exam.<\/p>

Well… I have no choice but to hope that someday I can repeat the experience of having a seat on the bus at the beginning of a new day.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
